I planted some flowers on Thursday and I went without using any lights until I had to turn them on. And while I know it needed energy to charge, I used my laptop instead of writing in my notebooks to take notes. I tried to even make my own recycled paper, but it didn't turn out too well.
But I did separate the plastic bottles, cans, and glass in different containers. I know it probably won't last, but I tried! That's what counts, right?

I think we're all really stressed and on edge still, so I totally think we should focus on the good things we have!
We have each other and we have our health. We're working on rebuilding things that we lost. Sure, there was some damage, but people being well is more important then material things, right?
I suggest a cook-out this weekend! I've already checked the weather and it's suppose to be really nice. Or maybe something for Earth Day tomorrow? We could plant a few trees? |

This place is amazing! It's so relaxing and the beach was so nice. I built a sandcastle and found some really amazing sea shells. I think I'll try and be crafty when we get back and make necklaces from them or something! I mean, if I can make a robot, I can make a necklace, right? |

I guess it really isn't much of a surprise that Mom and Dad won't be visiting. They never do But that's okay! I really can't wait to meet everyone else's parents! I think it's really great when parents support their kids despite being different regardless of what makes them different, you know? And, really? We're totally not different at all! Just gifted! That's how I look at it anyway. I wish Dad saw it that way

I really don't like not being able to sleep. Solitaire isn't helping and neither is music. Although I'm thankful for earphones since I definitely don't want to wake anyone up.
Bobby reminded me that I need to work more on my Facespace. I think it's sitting at the 80-some percent done.
I don't think I've ever stayed up this late before. It's kind of weird and kind of creepy. |

I don't think I would make a very good guy if I was one.
I'm serious! I don't get half the things guys find entertaining or amazing, but I think I finally have a better understanding of a guy. I guess that's what happens when you find yourself suddenly dorming with Alex Summers and Josh Foley. I really don't see how much more guy you can get in one room. Posts, loud music, inappropriate pictures of women in swimsuits and lingerie -- and yet, after the first few hours of trying to fall asleep, I found myself less uncomfortable with the surroundings.
But, um, Alex? How do you get any work done with that picture on your desktop on your computer? I went to borrow it the other day to work on a paper since my laptop met a tragic end in the explosion, and ... I'm sorry, but I had to stare! It was distracting because, I mean, they were right there! Anyone would have been distracted.
...okay, I take it back. I still don't understand guys at all. I'm not even remotely close to understanding them. |

It is very very cold outside! What happened? I don't even remember what happened, but there was an incredibly loud explosion. The next thing I know, I wake up outside. I must have gone through the walls and ended up out on the grounds. And, I guess I can't get back inside? I guess the security system activated after the explosion?
And, yes. Yes, I know I could phase through the walls, but they're...well, they're super thick and I'm already exhausted and, can someone please just open one of the emergency doors and let me back inside? |

I wanted to let everyone know that there are some left over latkes in the refrigerator. They're actually very good cold, but if you want to heat them, just add a bit of the olive oil into a well-heated frying pan and heat until the latke has a light crisp to it. I hope everyone enjoys them! |

I hope everyone enjoyed their Christmas and other holidays. I think my favorite part when people begin preparing for the Christmas holiday is watching people put up trees and lights. I really like the white lights the best.
It's a bit late, but I'm going to try my hand at making latkes again. If you don't know what that is, it's just a potato pancake. My mom use to make them all the time, but I haven't had them in forever. It should be pretty easy to make, I think. I did miss the strawberry jelly-filled sufganiyot. It's really just a jelly-filled doughnut, if you're wondering. But to have them homemade? You really can't compare them to the ones you might find in a Dunkin Donuts.
I took a small taste of the egg nog that was in the kitchen. I'm not sure how I feel about that. It has a weird taste to it, but it wasn't horrible.
But I think the one thing I really don't know if I like or not are the bunches of mistletoe hanging about. Who came up with the idea that you need to kiss someone when you're standing under it? |

Maybe I'm oblivious to the things that are, right now, pretty unimportant, but apparently there's a dance next week? When was this planned? I know, I know. Don't go laughing at me. Finals are, also, next week. They take precedence over everything else. Speaking of finals, I'm very much ready for them. I've been studying for weeks now. I've written up some practice tests, created outlines, and have gone over my study cards so much that I think the writing is beginning to rub off.
Maybe I shouldn't have written them in pencil?
They were math ones, though.
Anyway, I'm assuming the dance is following finals? I guess I'll worry about it then. If I worry about it at all. There's really nothing to worry about. I have a dress in my closet that I'm sure is appropriate for the occasion.
On a side note? Did someone drink the bottle of pineapple soda that was in the cupboard? |
